Bio

Michael A.C. Johnson, (Jr.)— known as "Brother Michael" or "Evangelist Michael" was born in Stanford, CA, on February 28th to his proud and late parents: Rev. Michael D. Crump-Johnson, (Sr.) and Mrs. LaDonna G. Roberson Crump-Johnson. He is the youngest of his siblings.
As a baby, his first church home was Open Door Church of God in Christ, pastored by Administrative Assistant Superintendent E. Hudleton and Missionary Pinkie L. Hudleton. He was also connected to Lifeline Outreach Ministry Church, founded by the late Elder John W. Byrd—both located in his hometown of East Palo Alto, CA.
At the age of 7, Michael received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, and by age 8, he began singing in church and playing various instruments, including the keyboard, piano, organ, drums, tambourine, harmonica, and maracas. He served at Union Star Missionary Baptist Church, founded by Bishop L.L. Pittman and Lady E.G. Pittman, until their resignation.
While actively serving in ministry, Michael took on multiple leadership roles, including: Praise and Worship Team Leader, Minister of Music, Choir Director, Publication/Program Coordinator, Sunday School Secretary, Youth Ministry Director & Event Host.
On Sunday, October 5th, 2003, Michael, along, with his late father Elder Michael D.C. Johnson, Sr., and Pastor Lizzie Faulk were licensed and ordained into the Gospel Ministry under the pastoral ship of the late Pastor Helen A. Brown.
Ministry & Music Career
Evangelist Johnson has ministered both locally and on national platforms alongside Gospel Greats such as: Dr. Helen Baylor, Professor Iris Stevenson, Dr. Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark, Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Min. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, Dr. Judith Christie McAllister, Professor James Hall, Pastor Beverly Crawford, Min., Allen Gauff Jr., & Others...
Michael, was also a member of the West Coast Praise Outreach Ministry Choir and the Children of The Rock Gospel Group. Additionally, he served as a fill-in musician for several churches throughout Bay Area, California including: Mt. Olive AOH Church of God, New Sweet Home COGIC, Open Door COGIC & churches in Arizona.
Expanding His Calling
In 2008, Michael relocated to Arizona, where he continues to minister, sing, and serve the Body of Christ. With the anointing God has given him, Michael is a Gospel Singer & Songwriter, Independent Gospel Recording Artist, A Licensed & Ordained Evangelist, Motivational Speaker & Conference Host, Visionary & Promoter, Model & Actor, Entertainer & Author. He is also the Founder of: Michael A.C. Johnson, Jr. Ministries, International (est. 2003), & M.J. Gospel Music Foundation (est. 2007).
Michael remains committed to his divine purpose—spreading the gospel through ministry, music, and outreach.
